Membership Initiative
The Accreditation Council will launch a membership initiative to expand the acceptance of domestic applications beyond the current geographic boundaries under the new Application and Candidacy Review Cycle and Monitoring Policy and Procedures and United States Department of Education (USDE) regulations beginning in fall 2020 and lift the moratorium on international applications .
Data-Influenced Decision-Making
The Accreditation Council will utilize data across processes to support decision-making, explore the adoption and use of Student Clearinghouse Data as a condition of membership, and consider how predictive analytics can lend to the work of accreditation.
Accreditation Advocacy
The Accreditation Council will engage in advocacy efforts to more proactively educate constituents about the value of accreditation and will serve as an independent voice in the higher education landscape.
Revenue-Generating Alternatives
The Accreditation Council will consider revenue-generating alternatives, including grant projects, that align with the Commission’s mission, principles, vision, and future directions.
Innovation for the IACHE and for Member Institutions
The Accreditation Council will continue to explore ways to be innovative as an organization and how to best support and celebrate innovation within the membership.
The Future of the The Accreditation Council
The Accreditation Council will engage in assessment and evaluation to ensure efficiency in the work of the Commission and its Committees, determine whether an alternative structure may be necessary to better support the changing nature and increasing demands of accreditation, and will conduct an evaluation of the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation to ensure it fulfills its mission.
